This is a shoe designed and dedicated to Jordans
greatness and the shoes bring it all back to the
court.
The life of the greatest ever to play the game
is immortilized in symbols laser-etched onto the
world's most technologically advanced hoops shoe.
Featuring a breakthrough Independent Podular Suspension
cushioning system, the 20th anniversary racing
motorcyle-inspired AJ XX redefines performance
with ultra-breathable Sphere lining, an integrated
midfoot support strap, a floating multi-position
ankle leash and internalized impact distribution
plate.

Air Jordan XX (20)
Head Designer: Tinker Hatfield
Tinker Hatfield, the designer of Air Jordan III
to XV, returned for the design of the Air Jordan
XX. The most noticable feature is the laser etched
design on the lace cover depiciting various past
Air Jordan shoes and Michael Jordan's achievements
through his careers.
The XX's was to commemorate 20 years of Michael
Jordan's greatness and legend. Each symbol represented
a story in Jordan's life. For example, the toolbox
with the words POPS represented Michael's late father,
James Jordan, who was a real handyman who could
fix anything around the house. The symbol of a 1976
Chevrolet Monte Carlo car and MJ sitting in the
back seat represented MJ's mom, Deloris, bringing
him along to her office when Michael was grounded
from middle school for a week. The Bus Driver cap
with golf clubs crossed, represented punishment
for anyone losing a bet playing golf. The loser
had to wear the bus driver cap on the walk back
to the clubhouse.
44DT symbol represented Hall of famer David "Skywalker"
Thompson, a superstar college and NBA player that
Michael idolised in the mid-70's. David Thompson's
North Carolina State college jersey number was 44.
The Air Jordan XX is also inspired by motorcyle
tyres and Jordan Brand Racing team called Team 23
Racing.

Upper : Full grain leather
and Nubuck upper with detailed laser etching brought
to the midfoot to celebrate the history of Air Jordan
Footwear. Integrated midfoot performance strap combined
with a hidden lacing system offers a lock down performance
fit. Heel ankle support system offers customizable
support while the memory foam-backed collar lining
cushions the foot. Asymmetrical toe cap offers durabilty
in key area, protecting against toe drag.
Midsole : Full length fabric wrapped Phylon midsole
houses a new I.P.S.(Independent Podular Suspension)
technology. Individual pods form a responsive midsole
that supports the foot in key areas. Internal shank
plate offers midfoot and arch support.
Outsole : New I.P.S. technology is integrated with
the outsole raised herringbone pods. These pods
not only create a unique cushioning system, but
also offer traction in key performance areas. The
outsole also incorporates traction grooves inspired
by motorcycle tires. The 20 herringbone pods on
the outsole celebrate the heritage of the Air Jordan
franchise.

is secured by velcro. Side of box has embossed JORDAN.
Embossed laser pattern paper wrapping, large nylon
shoe bag with thick drawstrings. Comes with a Special
